This year I am offering 2 days of mini-sessions for those that would like to get family portraits taken for holiday cards.  The sessions will be 30 minutes long and can include up to 5 people.  All sessions will be on-location at a beautiful, pre-selected local spot.  Locations will be announced closer to session dates, but will likely be Lake End Park or Brownell Memorial Park.

Mini-Session Fee:  $100.00

This includes:

• 30 minute session for up to 5 people ($10 per additional person)
• 10-15 black and white proofs
• Personalized holiday card design (available in 4×8, 4×6 or 5×7) - design will be given to you as a high-resolution file on a CD that you can have printed at the location of your choide)
• 1 8×10
• 2 5×7

(Package is valued at $175.00)

The dates and times for sessions are as follows:

• Saturday, November 22 from 9am - 5pm
• Sunday, December 7 from 9am - 5pm

If you are interested in booking a holiday mini-session, please contact me to reserve your spot as soon as possible.  A $50.00 deposit is required in order to hold your reservation.  The remaining $50.00 will be due the day of your session.

With the holidays quickly approaching, before you know it, Seniors, it will be Spring and you’ll be overwhelmed by all the things you’ll have to get done.  Why wait until then to schedule your Senior portraits, only to add one more “TO DO” on your list?

Any Senior that calls to schedule their Senior portraits before October 31 and puts down a $50.00 on that session will receive a free 8×10 of their choice. The session can be scheduled for anytime between now and May 2009.

Here are a few more holiday cards that I designed for the 2008 Holiday Season.  These cards will be offered as part of a special package, which I’ll post about in the upcoming weeks.  Keep an eye on the blog for a great holiday portrait deal!

I just wanted to update everyone as to what will be going on with my family and I over the next few days for anyone wanting to book appointments, pick up or order photos.  I will be in Morgan City for most of the day tomorrow, so if there is an order that you would like to pick up, you can do so at that time.  We’ll be leaving the city tomorrow evening and heading whichever direction seems safest.  I will be reachable by cell phone and likely will have internet access, but will not be placing any orders or booking new appointments until at least Wednesday of next week.

The standout mounted storyboards are a great way to showcase your custom storyboards.  They are 3/4″ thick and feature a hard, black plastic edge and finished back with holes for mounting.  They are also thick enough to be free standing on a shelf or mantle.  The standout mounted storyboards are lightweight, but very sturdy.  Any storyboard sized 11×14 or larger can be standout mounted for an additional $50.00.

I’ve finally gotten around to ordering a gallery wrapped canvas and I have to say, I LOVE it and I think I’m hooked!  I want these all over my house!

This is a 16×20 canvas of my son.  A similar sized canvas would be $275.00.  The rest of the prices are listed below.  The size groups will allow you to choose a size that would best work with your photo to avoid awkward cropping as well as to best suite your needs.  Each canvas comes gallery-wrapped with finished backs and hanging hardware.  Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.

Small canvas (16×16, 16×20) - $275
Medium canvas (16×24, 20×20, 20×24) - $375
Large canvas (20×30, 24×24, 24×30) - $475

I just wanted to thank everyone who has contacted me regarding my Fresh Faces and Senior Rep campaigns.  I’ve now filled all available spots for both promotions, so thanks to all who were interested!  I’m currently out of town until the end of the week, but have several sessions coming up, so the blog will be busy!  I’m also working out some details for my holiday promotions and schedule.  I plan to start scheduling holiday sessions sometime next month (September) so be sure to keep an eye on the blog so that you can be one of the first to sign up!

This year’s holiday season is approaching quickly and I’m gearing up for it!  I have a really exciting promotion that I’ll be running throughout the holiday season for everyone who books a Christmas portrait session with me this year.  I’ve also begun working on some Christmas card designs that I’ll be offering this year.  Some of you may know, but I have a background in designing digital scrapbook products.  I resigned from my position this past March to pursue my photography business, but I have a huge stash of my own products sitting on my hard drive, just begging to be used.  I’ll be drawing from this stash to create my line of 2008 Christmas greeting cards.  Here is a sneak peek of a few of the cards I’m working on:

Summer is quickly coming to an end and its almost time for you all to start your Senior year!  I know its such a fun and exciting time for everyone and with so much going on, Senior portraits are probably the last thing you are thinking about right now.  You won’t believe, though, how quickly the spring will be here and then you’ll be rushing to get them done!

I am in need of some fresh faces to update my website so you guys get the benefits!

I am searching for children between the ages of 2 - 10 to include in my portfolio. The sessions will be done on-location at your home or a local park and will last up to one hour. No session fee will be charged and you will receive an online gallery of 20-30 edited proofs along with a free 5×7 in exchange for a signed model release.
