Its been such a pleasure getting to know Kristen and her family over the last couple of years. You may remember her from her maternity session last year. Little Emmarie, who may also remember, will be turning a year soon and she is such a doll! I just loved her little pig tails and she was so easy to photograph. She would crack up laughing if I smiled or laughed at her. I can not wait to meet their new little girl, she’s sure to be just as precious!

When Lindsey called me about her maternity session, she was wondering if I even did this style. She explained what I want and I immediately knew what we were going to do and was excited about finally getting a chance to do something different. I know many other photographers have conquered this style, but this is only the second time I’ve had this request, so it was a lot of fun! I did have a lot of other ideas, but poor Lindsey’s husband had to go back to work unexpectedly and missed the session … but, her daughter joined in and isn’t she the most beautiful little girl? So, I present to you, Lindsey’s dark, moody and intimate maternity session!

This is one of my good friends, we’ve been friends since almost the first day of high school. Throughout school, we were very close and she often spent holidays with my family and I. Through the years, we grew apart (I didn’t even go to her wedding) but since we’ve now “grown up,” and started having kids of our own, we’ve become good friends again … yay! :-) That means I get to see her go through exciting things, like her 2nd baby 
She has a 2 year old, little Quinlan who I photographed a few months ago and now we’ll be meeting baby #2 in just a few short weeks … I can’t wait!
Here’s a peek of her maternity session, which we did Sunday morning right before heading out to the Saints game!
At the same time I shot Dana’s maternity, I took 9 month photos of another good friend, Rebecca’s little guy. Rebecca’s parents recently moved and their old house is empty. Rebecca decided she wanted some pictures of Nick at the house, so we did the maternity there, too. The 3 of us were really good friends and spent a lot of time together at this house during our high school years, so it was fun to do this session there!
And I was racking my brain, trying to figure out a way to incorporate the Saints. Dana and her husband go to all the games and the baby is due right around the Super Bowl! Go Saints!
