Nathan – Day 6 {Metairie Newborn Baby Photographer}

You probably remember me gushing a few times over Nick, the little boy of my best friend, who I have already claimed to be my daughter’s husband one day (they’ll make gorgeous babies LOL)  Well, now Nick has a baby brother, Nate, who is equally edible … yes, that  is just about the best word I can use to describe this perfect little, chubby, kissable baby boy.  I was so excited to meet this little guy and he definitely did not disappoint.  He was so quiet and mild-mannered – he only started to fuss when he was hungry and after being fed, he slept and slept and slept and slept.  We moved him everywhere, even to the front porch and the lap of his wild, 17 month old brother – and still, he slept.  It was amazing!  Bec and Jeff, you guys are blessed with 2 of the most beautiful little boys, congratulations!

I adore this image – I love the look of wonder on Nick’s face:

And just about the only good thing about summer in the South is that a newborn baby is perfectly comfortable being naked outside!  He settled down almost immediately when I placed him on the trunk, it was so humid and hot outside!

Triplets {Morgan City Newborn Photographer}

I’ve been looking forward to this session since my neighbor told me she was pregnant with triplets, last year.  A couple days before we were supposed to do her maternity session, she went into the hospital, where she stayed until they were born at 30 weeks.  All 3 of them are finally home and are  now just about 2 months old… they are all doing so well and are precious.  I really enjoyed this session, it was amazing to see how they love to snuggle with each other.  As soon as we laid them close together, it didn’t take long for them do doze off.  They all did really well … so, here are Maddie, Cora and Kyler!

This is Maddie, she’s the biggest of the group:

And finally, Kyler – who just joined his sisters at home a few days ago:

I was in awe of their tiny feet … all 6 of them in mommy’s hand:

Brady – 8 Days {Thibodaux Newborn Photographer}

I truly love photographing newborns, despite how challenging it can sometimes be.  Strangely enough, I feel more confident with clients’ newborns than I ever did with my own.  Somehow, I can usually manage to soothe a baby into a sound sleep so that I can position them however I want … how come I was never able to keep my own kids that sleepy and soothed?

Little Brady was sleeping pretty soundly, despite the fact that I was an hour late to his session … the first time I ever get a flat tire  on the highway and it has to be on the way to a newborn session, when time is of the essence.  Luckily, after Brady emptied out every bit of formula that he had eaten in a few days (giving us all quite a laugh), he was quite content to go back to sleep.  He loved having his hands by his face and had the sweetest little mouth and hair.  Such a beautiful baby boy and I’m so thankful to have photographed him!

Look at his fine, blond lashes!
