What to Wear {Senior Girls}
Posted on January 11, 2007
Senior portraits are all about you so you don’t want to stray too far from your comfort zone when choosing your outfits for Senior portraits. Choose things that you normally would wear and just dress them up or add some accessories. Choose a mix of dressy and casual clothes for variation. I love bright colors and textured neutrals … sweaters and layers.
For girls, jeans are always a favorite paired with cute tops, layered with a sweater, jacket or scarf; add heels or boots and some cool earrings and a necklace. Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 are great for finding inexpensive accessory pieces such as jewelry, hats, jackets and scarves. Cute dresses with some killer shoes are great as well. In most cases, you won’t have a place to change, so a cami or tank to layer underneath tops is helpful. Try not to be too over-the-top trendy because one day, you’ll back at these photos and think “what was I thinking??” Prom dresses are also a fun addition to your session. If you are doing a deluxe session, think about adding dance team or other uniforms.
Here are some ideas that I gathered from Charlotte Russe, Forever 21 and Old Navy:
