Houma Newborn Photographer – Here's Jack!

This little guy couldn’t wait to make his appearance and was born 6 weeks premature (is that right Kristi?) He is already 4 weeks old but slept and slept and slept and slept … barely made a peep and let me do whatever I wanted. What a dream newborn!
I decided to try something new for this session and went with all natural light. I usually do studio lighting for newborns but once I discovered that the huge windows in my living room let in just enough natural light for teeny little babies, I set things up differently and started shooting … I’m really pleased with the results!
If you plan to book a newborn session with me, remember that its important to get them in around 7-10 days old and tank up their little tummies right before the session so they are nice and sleepy. Newborn sessions can take place in your home, if you feel more comfortable there. You don’t need to have a ton of space available, but nice large windows that let in plenty of natural light are preferable. I have blankets, hats, cocoons and lots of other things to bring along. Of course, you are always welcome to come to my house as well for some studio pictures, its your choice!
And if you are pregnant, consider booking your maternity and newborn sessions together and save on the session fee. Both sessions together are $125.

Last year I met Kristen when her brother Jordan came to me for his Senior pictures. He was actually one of my first Seniors and my very first guy. I had so much fun with them all at that time and was thrilled when Kristen called me to do her maternity portraits … actually, she called to ask if I thought she should and of course, I said yes! She had the perfect baby bump, check it out! I can’t wait to meet your little son or daughter in a few weeks!
