I love love love this location which is off of Poydras in Downtown New Orleans … I also took Egan’s photos here, so its a great location for any type of shoot!
Rebecca and I met years ago through my husband and have been friends since. I’m so excited that she’s getting married and I had so much fun taking their engagement pictures. Congrats you guys, I can’t wait for the wedding in March!
Adalyn – My Niece {Lafayette Baby Photographer}

This is my little niece, Adalyn, who will be 6 months old on Wednesday! Time flies by so quickly!
I was visiting my sister today and we decided to play with my new lens and try to get a few 6 months shots. We still plan to do a more lengthy session in an location outside, but for now, I’m in love with these. We took all of these in her bedroom, in front of a wall in about 10 minutes 
We also didn’t need much space, so the next time you are considering having some portraits made, think outside of studio portraits and considering using your own home. The post before this one, of Jonathon, those were also taken in someone’s home, utilizing the living room and the bedroom. I think its also more relaxing for the baby because they are in their own element. Despite missing her nap and being very tired, Adalyn was comfortable and happy because she was in her own environment. All it took was a bell and a squeaky toy and she was all smiles!

Now, while I love a big gummy baby smile, its always the wide-eyed serious ones that get me …
And this is why I LOVE doing 6 month old shoots … I have shots of both of my kids exactly like this at this age and I love them because I’ll always remember what their little chubby baby fat looked like!

Remember this wide-eyed baby boy from 6 months ago?
Little Jonathan is growing up quickly and just turned 6 months old! He’s still just as gorgeous as he was as a newborn and even though it took 5 adults to make this little guy smile, once he did, it was well worth it!
Love love love the big gummy smile!
