Jake – 9 Months Old {Houma Baby Photographer}
Posted on February 28, 2010
I love repeat clients. Its so amazing to be able to see little ones grow and change over time. This is the 2nd time I’ve met little Jake, the first time was when he was 4 months old. He’s now 9 months old and was such a perfect and happy little model. He gave me some great gummy smiles and I was even able to get a couple of his brand new teeth. It was so much fun to photograph him!
Photog Shootout – New Orleans
Posted on February 25, 2010
I was so excited about the shootout yesterday, I had been looking forward to it since I first found out about it. What is a shootout? Basically, it was 50+ photographers following 4 models around downtown New Orleans listening to 4 other (amazing) photographers and learning from them. It was such a fun and educational experience, I learned so much in those few short hours. I also got to meet some really great photographers / people / friends as well as seeing lots of old friends who I don’t get to see enough! It all started with Rob Ninja, who organizes the whole shootout thing … they happen all over the country. He got together with Beebe Tran, Mark Eric, Jason Cohen and Jamie Orillion – who were the “teachers” for the day, and Photog Shootout NOLA was born.
People passing by were probably wondering what the heck was going on as they saw brides posing with 10-15 cameras pointed at them – some photographers on the ground, others standing on news vans (LOL). And it was freezing!! The poor models threw on jackets in between poses, trying to stay warm – they were all so great, though.
I started out intending to take a lot of photos but I realized that I preferred just sitting back and listening to the teachers. Every time I tried to get a shot, I felt like I was getting in someone’s way, so I mostly just stood back and absorbed. It was definitely fun and I cannot wait until next time!
After the shootout, we headed to Mother’s for a cocktail party with food and drinks along with the most amazing bread pudding ever. I had never tasted bread pudding before because I just didnt’ like the way it looked but Corine made me take a bite and then I had to get my own. Its going to be featured on Food Networks “The Best Thing I Ever Ate!”
Here are a handful of shots I got from the day:
Jolie {Morgan City Senior Photographer}

Its that time of year again – the weather is slowly warming up, the grass is getting a little greener and Seniors only have a few months left of school. This means that if they haven’t already, they are starting to book senior sessions. Its absolutely my favorite time of year … I truly love to shoot seniors, so I was really excited to have Jolie scheduled this past weekend. I was even more excited about the location she and her mom choose for her portraits! Enjoy!
I absolutely adore this one … I think she looks like a Southern belle!
Prom dresses can be a lot of fun to take your portraits in! If you are worried about getting it dirty, bring a sheet that is close to the color of the dress to use underneath you…
